What would happen it a microplastic came to life?

We are in the depths of the sea, out of the garbage, Microplastic comes to life. Alone in a hostile environment, he wanders around trying to find a place to call home until, one day, an opportunity appears on the horizon. Thousands of luminous motes cross the horizon. It is here that his journey begins.

Guided by the strange motes he arrives at a large Coral Reef, there he will be welcomed by the curious beings that inhabit this place, letting himself be carried away by the emotion he will come to think that he has found what he longs for. A home.

But without warning the light of the Coral will go out.

Notwithstanding despite the kind and noble appearance of our protagonist, he is still a Microplastic and his mere presence will endanger the health of the entire coral.

Now Microplastic must make a difficult decision, if he wants to save the coral he must disappear.

Nanomia is a project in development that in its short trajectory has been selected in two festivals.  Was on Next Lab Generation where we developed this prototype teaser through Quill (VR modeling and animation) and Blender (shading, lighting , cameras and rendering).

The piece was finalist in Next Lab and is an approach in terms of what the short film is looking for, to be a visual experience, sound and without dialogue.

We are looking for production and funding, so if you are interested please contact us!
